Gerald "Ronnie" Perry was born February 26, 1946, in Sumner County near Portland to William Bransford Perry and Mary Ethel Keith. He grew up on the family farm with his two sisters and four brothers where he cultivated his love for farming. He graduated from Portland High School in 1964 and served in the US Navy from 1966 to 1970. Following his service in the Navy, he worked at Tennessee Gas Pipeline until his retirement in 2010.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his partner, Dianne Feltz; his sisters, Juanita McCormick and Peggy Hudson and brothers, Wayne Perry, James Perry, and William Perry, Jr.

He is survived by brother Dalton (Nancy) Perry of Bethpage; his three sons, Guy Perry of Portland, Josh (Abby) Perry of Westmoreland, and Will Perry of Portland; his stepdaughter, Christie Webb of Westmoreland; grandson, Allen Perry of Westmoreland and soon-to-arrive grandson Owen Perry; step-grandchildren Chris Brown, Jeffrey Webb, and Heather Webb, all of Westmoreland; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Mr. Perry will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 5th, 2025 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Perry will be on Thursday, September 4th, 2025 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm & on Friday, September 5th, 2025 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Old Brush Cemetery with Military Honors.
