He was born in Lemont Furnace on January 22, 1945 to the late Stephen S. and Ann Punday Yuhaniak.
Jerry was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War era.
He was a member of VFW Post 8543 and the North Union Fire Department Station 44. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 51 and AMVETS Post 103.
Jerry's wishes were to have a burial at sea with the United States Navy.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Stephen R. Haky Funeral, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401.
