Geraldine Ann Backues

Geraldine Ann Flores, age 70, of Belle passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at her residence. 

 Geraldine was born March 12, 1954, in Venna, a daughter to the late Delmar and Lillian (Ament) Backues. 

Geraldine attended Belle High School and was a lifelong area resident. On May 1, 1981, she was united in marriage to Eddie Flores. He preceded her in death in 1988. 

 She retired from the Missouri Department of Corrections in Jefferson City after many years of service. She also worked as a 911 dispatcher and various restaurants through the years. Geraldine enjoyed hosting family holiday meals and cooking for everyone. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her. 

Geraldine is survived by: one son, Tim Flores and his wife Lisa; two brothers, David Backues and his wife and Darrel Backues and his wife; one sister, Kathy Seaton and her husband Mike; several grandkids; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Geraldine was preceded in death by a son, Mike Flores and a nephew, Seth Backues. 

Private graveside services will be held in the Liberty Cemetery near Belle.
