Geraldine Baumann, 78, Jamestown, ND died Sunday, October 12, 2025 at St. Rose Care Center in LaMoure, ND.

Geraldine Margaret Baumann, daughter of Hildegarde (Maier) and Raymond Baumann, was born at Eureka, SD on July 11, 1947. She was brought up on the Baumann farm seven miles NW of Ashley. She attended Hoskins Rural School through sixth grade and Ashley Public School from 7th-12th grade (AHS Class of 1965). She continued her education at North Dakota School of Science in Wahpeton where she successfully completed her Licensed Practical Nursing studies. In 1967, Geraldine settled in Jamestown where her working life was spent caring for people. She was a nurse at the Jamestown Hospital through 1985. She spent from 1985-1987 caring for children with profound autism. From 1987-2002, she worked at the Ann Carlson School. Geraldine suffered from fibromyalgia and arthritis which prompted her retirement at an early age. As Geraldine put it, "I raised horses in the 1970's, raised LPNs in the 1980's, and broke down in the 1990's". In retirement she enjoyed volunteer work as able. A passion for Geraldine was the State and national LPN Association, for which she did lots of traveling with Hawaii being her favorite state.

Geraldine is survived by two brothers, Robert (Lori) Baumann of Fargo, ND and Glenn Baumann of Ashley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond, on July 1, 2017 and her mother, Hildegarde, on February 19, 2021.

Private family graveside services will be at the Ashley City Cemetery led by Pastor David Irwin. Bearers will be her brothers, Robert and Glenn.

Services are in care of Carlsen-Lien Chapel, Ashley.
