Geraldine Bruney

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Geraldine Bruney, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on May 1, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born on December 19, 1946, in Jennings, Louisiana.

She had a special talent for connecting with people, which made her a fantastic sales associate at Wal Mart, where she worked for many years. Beyond her job, Geraldine found joy in family gatherings, where laughter and love filled the air. She was particularly fond of playing Bingo, and her enthusiasm for crawfish boils and family gatherings.

Geraldine is survived by her two sons, Dennis Bruney and Darrin (Diana) Bruney, her treasured grandchildren, Cody, Justin, and Candice Bruney and 6 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews, Lori Nielsen, Yevette Comstock, Richard Nielsen, great nieces and nephews, Madison McGaughey, Brett Nesloney, and Kelly Nielsen, who will always remember her spirit and kindness.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; Walter LeBlanc and Ava Gary LeBlanc; and her siblings, Shirley Ann LeBlanc, Lorraine Nielsen, Gary LeBlanc, Tony LeBlanc, Lil Richard LeBlanc.

The family is honoring her wishes of cremation under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
