Geraldine "Gerry" Henley of Weymouth passed away suddenly on December 15, 2022 at the age of 68. Gerry was born, raised, and Educated all in Weymouth Graduating from Weymouth North High School in 1972. After graduating she attended Umass Amherst, started a family, and married her former husband Michael Henley. She moved back to Weymouth and began her long career driving a school bus for the Town of Braintree where she drove until she was no longer able.
Gerry loved playing her guitar, listening to music, doing puzzles, feeding the birds, watching science shows and spending time caring for animals especially her cats. She cherished all the time she got to spend with her grandkids and all the children in the extended family. She always found a way to connect with all the kids in a way no one else could, a true child at heart. She will not soon be forgotten by all who knew her.
Gerry was the mother of Jessica Baker and her husband David of Weymouth. She was the devoted grandmother of Zachary and Kaylee. She was the sister of Laurie Bartlett of Rhode Island, Jan Long and her husband Peter of Maine, Donna Lewis of Nevada and was predeceased but her brother Alan Bartlett. She also leaves behind many other extended family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Gerry on Friday December 23, 2022 from 9-10AM in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home (134 Pleasant St. Weymouth, Columbian Sq.). A Funeral Mass will immediately follow the visitation at Saint Jerome's Parish at 10:30AM (632 Bridge St, North Weymouth, MA 02191). A Burial will take place at a later date. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Geraldine's memory to the Broken Tail Rescue at https://www.brokentailrescue.org/

I can´t believe it´s been two years already. I hope you and Margaret are rocking out to the Beatles up there. Scream as loud as you want. Wish I could Hold Your (& Margarets´) Hand.
