She was born August 8, 1957, in Hamburg, Iowa, to Lelah Mae (Meredith) Clapper and Donald Glen Clapper. She was the middle child of three siblings and graduated from Tabor High School with the Class of 1975.
Mindy was a country girl. She loved her farm with her cows, her dogs, and her cats. She loved her husband, Clifford, and she loved all her children and grandchildren. She was a small, but feisty lady, she had a wonderful sense of humor and a heart of gold. The word "quit" was truly not in her vocabulary. She never asked for anything, was incredibly resourceful, she was an amazing cook, and always remembered to send cards to those she loved. If you belonged to her, you were part of her heart.
Mindy was preceded in death by her mother Lelah Mae Clapper; her father, Donald Glen Clapper; her brother Ronald (Ron) Glen Clapper, all of Tabor, Iowa; and her grandson, Dominic Henderson of Bolivar, Missouri.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Henley, of Hamilton, Missouri; sister, Teresa and John Miller, of Halltown, Missouri; children-Erin Henderson of Bolivar, Missouri; Brian Tackett of Glenwood, Iowa; and Lora Beth Walker, and husband, Pete, of Bolivar, Missouri; step-daughters that she loved as her own, Annette Etheridge, and husband, James, of Lawson, Missouri; Jamie White, and husband, Jacob, of Richmond, Missouri; as well as grandchildren-David Tackett; Bailey, Lucas, Harvey and Izzy Tackett; Micah, Benjamin, Gideon and Olivia Walker; Paige and Presley Etheridge; and Avoree, Elijah, and Inzlee White.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Friday, December 5, 2025, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton, MO.
Formal Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, 1 hour prior to the service, on December 5, 2025, at Bram Funeral Home.
Interment: Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Melinda's memory.
Friends may call at Bram Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, from noon until 5 p.m.
