Geraldine Hoerman of Antigo, passed away on December 24, 2023 at Evergreen Terrace at the age of 88.
Gerri was born on July 18, 1935 in Antigo to the late John and Doreth (Fitch) Jones. On June 14, 1958 she was united in marriage to Richard Hoerman at St. Mary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2007.
A lifelong resident of Antigo, Gerri graduated from Antigo High School, class of 1953. She went on to work as a secretary for Ss. Mary and Hyacinth. She also did part time cleaning at Health in Motion and worked as assistant to the finance director for Langlade County in the Department of County Clerk.
Gerri was a member of Ss. Mary and Hyacinth. She enjoyed decorating the house for all seasons and holidays and most of all, time spent with family.
Gerri is survived by a son Randy Hoerman, grandchildren Charlene Hoerman and Jessica Hoerman, sisters Marguerite "Peg" Wurtinger, Bernice (Jerry) Banczak, sister-in-law Dolly Jones. She is also survived by members of the Hoerman family; brothers-in-law Carl (Norrie) Hoerman, Bob (Ann) Hoerman, sisters-in-law Marie Gesell, Phyllis Bula, and Judy Hoerman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Ervin Jones and Willis Jones, sister Lucille (Harland) Van Ooyen members of the Hoerman family; brothers-in-law Eugene (Jeanne) Hoerman, Ed (Donna) Hoerman, Ben (Barbara) Hoerman, Dale Hoerman, and Richard Gesell, sisters-in-law Laverne (Barney) Hohensee, Marilyn (Chuck) Stengl, Doris (Ellsworth) Schumitsch, and Joanne Hoerman.
A memorial service for Gerri will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home with Father Joel Sember officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
