On November 5, 2025, Geraldine Frances Hood passed away. Beloved wife of the late David Hood; lifelong friend and companion of John Buchanan; devoted mother of Steven Kline and his wife Lisa, Chance Purcell and his wife Cassandra, and Justin Buchanan and his wife Laura; cherished grandmother of Christa McAnany and her fiancé Walter Seidel, Alana Rhea, Alexa Kline, Braden Kline, Cadence Buchanan, Nicholas Purcell, Hunter Buchanan, and Dylan Buchanan; doting great-grandmother of Mya Campbell, Mariah Campbell, Kira Seidel, and Kaylee Seidel; dear sister of the late Margaret Nemcek, the late Charles Abel, and Barbara Macks; dear friend of Joyce Rimback. Also survived by a host of other loving family members and friends.
Friends may call at the family-owned Bruzdzinski Funeral Home P.A., 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex, Maryland 21221, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 10 AM. Interment Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
