Geraldine Ignowski

Gerri "Gigi" Ignowski, 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Cassopolis, Michigan.
Gerri was born on May 2, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Anthony Sokolewicz and Joanne (Beishahudak) Sokolewicz.
Along with her parents, Gerri was preceded in death by her siblings, Tony, Wally, and Pat.
Left to cherish the memory of Gerri is her loving husband of 62 years, Sylvester Ignowski; children, Dennis (Michelle) Ignowski and Steven (Kathy) Ignowski; grandchildren, Nicole and Jenna, and great grandchildren, Kori, Leni, Claire, and Jack.
Gerri was a talented baker and cook, who cherished the simple pleasures of life, such as walking along the beach and exploring small, local shops. Her strong faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she dedicated much of her time to her spiritual community, inspiring many with her passion and commitment.
A beloved mother and grandmother, Gerri's happiest moments were those spent surrounded by the joyful giggles of her grandchildren. Her love for the culinary arts extended to her favorite pastime, watching cooking shows.
Gerri was an avid "Star Trek" fan who also shared a spirit of adventure with her loving husband, Sylvester, as they participated in 5k walks, fostering a bond of teamwork and mutual encouragement. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts she leaves behind.
In keeping with Gerri's wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
