Geraldine Loretta Lasch (nee Manion) was born on January 18, 1934, and passed away peacefully with her husband and her daughters at her side on January 18, 2025. Geri was 91 years old. She was born and raised in Jersey City, where she met the love of her life, Louis. They married in October of 1953, and after Lou returned from serving in the US Army overseas, they started their family together.
Geri had a fulfilling career as a real estate agent and broker, opening her own successful agency in Rutherford in the late 1970s. Geri was elected the first female president of the South Bergen Board of Realtors. She was known for her keen business acumen and genuine dedication to her clients.
An avid golfer, Geri and Lou moved to Manchester after retiring to enjoy the many perks of living in the Renaissance community, where they especially cherished the golf opportunities. Geri quickly made numerous friends and was actively involved in the community's various activities. She particularly looked forward to Tuesday afternoons, playing Mahjong with her girlfriends.
Geri is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Louis; her loving daughters Patti (Jeff) and Nancy; and her cherished grandchildren Jameson (Krista), Caitlin (Bill), Kristen, Michael (Rachael), and Sarah (Matt). She is also survived by her beloved great-grandchildren, Jayson, Parker, Myles, and Shawn, who brought her immense joy.
Geri was the light of our lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her warmth, kindness, and generosity touched everyone she met.
Donations in Geri's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38015, reflecting her lifelong compassion and love for children. Cremation is private.
