Mrs. Geraldine Collins Lindsey was born on January 18, 1940 to the late Fleta Collins.
She fell asleep in death on February 22, 2025 peacefully at home with family. She was educated through the Montgomery County School System. She did domestic work most of her life. She also worked at United Mills in Mount Gilead, NC and Troy Drapery in Troy, NC. She dedicated her life to Jehovah on March 18, 1995, and faithfully served Jehovah to her death. She truly loved her Heavenly Father Jehovah, and she would always declare his name to all that she came in contact with. When people would ask her how are you doing she would always reply, "I'm doing ok thanks to Jehovah". Also, if someone made her laugh she would say, "O Jehovah"!
She fell in love with Curtis Lindsey, Sr. and married him, and to that union seven children were born. She leaves to mourn five daughters, Augustine McBride(Robert deceased) of Raeford, NC, Jeanette Dumas(Joseph deceased) of Mount Gilead, NC, Roxanne McDonald(Jim Sr) of Mount Gilead, NC, Regina Thomas(John Frank) of the home, Jacqueline Simon(Robert deceased) of Southern Pines, NC; one son, Keary Lindsey of Carthage, NC; one stepdaughter, Mary Louise Simmons of Oklahoma City, OK; 14 grandchildren, (6 grandchildren preceded her in death) 26 great grands, one great-great-grand. She also leaves to mourn one sister, Carrie Lee Cole(Ivey) of Troy, NC; brother, Edward Lee Collins(Lizzie Mae deceased) of Chapel Hill, NC; one daughter in law, Dorthy Lindsey of Southern Pines, NC; one sister in law, Verlina(James deceased) of Wadeville, NC and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. One special friend/sister, Martha Watkins of the home. One son, preceded her in death, Curtis Lindsey, Jr.; four sisters preceded her in death, Mary Lee Armstrong, Pauline Tyson(her twin), Sallie Mae McCormick, Sarah Jean Collins and four brothers, Jim Armstrong, Rufus Collins, James Collins and Robert Collins.
