Geraldine Talandron Medalla, of Sewell, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on May 15, 1969, in Cebu City, Philippines, Geraldine's warmth and compassion knew no bounds, touching the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Geraldine's journey began with her cherished family in the Philippines. She was the beloved daughter of Marcelo Talandron and the late Julia A. Alimento, the dear sister of Maricar Flores and the late Efren Talandron. Her path in life led her to the arms of her devoted husband, Victor Medalla, with whom she built a life full of love and shared joy with their children, Sarah Mae Medalla and Justin Medalla. The family circle expanded with the addition of her esteemed son-in-law, Anthony Lemus, all of whom were the center of Geraldine's world.
Her nurturing spirit guided her to pursue a career in caring for others, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Velez College in Cebu. Geraldine's dedication to her profession was evident in her 25 years of service as a nurse at NYU, where her kindness and wisdom left an indelible mark on her colleagues and the many patients she attended to with unwavering commitment.
Geraldine's life was a testament to her role as the glue of her family. She created a home where love was the main ingredient, and her culinary talents were one of the many ways she expressed her affection. Gatherings around her table were not just about the food but about the laughter, stories, and connections that she fostered. Her presence was a source of comfort and security, a reminder that one was loved unconditionally.
Those who knew Geraldine would describe her as a loving, kind, and wise soul. Her guidance and counsel were sought by many, and she gave it generously, always with the intent of uplifting and supporting those around her.
