Geraldine "Jerry" Moore, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on January 30, 2026, at East Liverpool City Hospital. Born on July 2, 1929, in
Minerva, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Burr H. and Estella J. (Wilson) Wright. Jerry lived a graceful life spanning 96 years.
Jerry spent many years bringing beauty and joy into the lives of others through her work at Clendenning Florist. Her dedication and caring touch left a lasting impression on those who knew her, both professionally and personally.
Throughout her life, Jerry found strength and comfort in her faith. In her earlier years, she was a member of Calvary Methodist Church (Good Shepherd). Most recently, she attended Grace Presbyterian Church, where she found comfort and community.
In addition to her parents, Jerry was preceded in death by her loving husband, Homer Moore, who passed away on February 16, 1998, and her son, James "Jim" Moore who passed away on September 6th, 2023. She was also preceded in death by her five brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa McElhaney and her husband Rob of
Granville, Ohio; her son, Gary Moore and his wife Debra of East Liverpool; and her daughter-in-law, Carletta Moore of East Liverpool. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Samuel Davis; Casey Moore; Tyler Moore; Matthew McElhaney and his wife Emily; and Justin McElhaney; as well as her step-grandchildren, Lonnie Ice and Terry Rhodes and her husband Sean. She was blessed with step-great-grandchildren Dakota Ice, Delaney Ice, Joslin Rhodes, and Kadin Wolfe. Jerry was also an honorary grandmother to Maddox and Avery Watson.
Visitation will be held at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Pastor Craig Knight, will follow at 2:00 PM. Jerry will be laid to rest next to Homer at Columbiana County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jerry's kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
