Geraldine "Gerri" Randolph, age 90, of Millcreek passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. She was born in Erie on August 6, 1934 a daughter of Melvin and Jean (Pietrowski) Mordica.
In her younger years, Gerri worked as an LPN at Erie Osteopathic Hospital. She then went on to work at RP&C Valve and Snap-Tite. After retirement to keep busy she got a part time job at Around the Clock Childcare where she was a cook and Night Supervisor. She was known as Miss Gerri by all the kids and parents that loved her.
Gerri enjoyed bowling for the RP&C Valve bowling league and polka dancing on her weekly girl's night out for many years. Gerri was admired by many for her genuine compassion. She was always willing to help someone when there was a need of any kind. Gerri had a great love of animals, owning several dogs over the years and 7 parrots at once, some of whom she adopted while being President of the adoption committee for a former local pet bird rescue club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas C. Randolph, a grandson, Michael Ryan Semple, siblings Dorothy Engles and Betty Ann Venable; and a daughter-in-law, Denise Semple.
She is survived by her children, Bob Semple of St. Cloud, FL, Debbie Garcia (Kevin Mahoney) of Millcreek, Michael Semple (Jeimis Mancera) of Newnan, GA and Carmen Fichthorn (Karl) of Waterford; six grandchildren, Stephanie Lowe (Tyler), Valerie Miller (Jason), Ryan Semple, Rhaejean Semple, Alaric Fichthorn and Saxon Fichthorn; five great grandchildren, Ave Lee Garcia-Lucini, Taylor Miller, Jason Miller, Jr., Zoey Lowe and Isabella Lowe.
