Geraldine Rose Richmond, 73, of Powhatan Point, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, at Reynold's Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, West Virginia.

Born on October 16, 1951, in Belmont County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles Leroy and Leanna (Baker) Piper.

Geraldine dedicated her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Shadyside Care Center, where she worked diligently for 30+ years. Her compassionate nature and tireless commitment to her patients left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Central to Geraldine's life was her deep love for her family, which she cherished above all else. Her warm spirit and nurturing heart were constants in the lives of those she held dear. Additionally, her two beloved dogs brought her immense joy and companionship.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her beloved husband Harold Junior Richmond on January 8, 2019, and a step son, Michael Richmond, her cherished siblings.

Left to cherish her memory include her children, Angela Nelson, Ike Nelson and Chad (Lisa) Nelson, siblings, Eleanor May, Patricia McCloud, Terry Baker, Hazel Jean Smith, Tina Morris, Amy Gray, Lee Justice and Richard Piper. Grandchildren; Alex Hoffman, Zack Hoffman, Devin Nelson, Tiffany Hoffman, and Ellie Kate Nelson. Great-Grandchildren; Spencer, Aurora and Maverick. as well as step son Travis Richmond.

Family and friends will be recieved on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 2-6pm at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 186 Main Street, Powhatan Point Ohio. Private inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.
