Dodgeville – Geraldine D. "Geri" Rowen, age 93, of Dodgeville, completed her life-long journey on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center in Dodgeville.
Geraldine was born on November 16, 1931 in Highland, WI to George and Dorothy (Blabaum) Sittig. On November 10, 1951, she was united in marriage to Gerald Rowen in Dodgeville.
She was a partner with her husband as a bookkeeper for Rowen Electric, Inc. since 1953 and continued with the business after her husband's death in 1981. Along with the family business, she was also employed at Lands' End and retired after 28 years of service.
Family and faith were very important to Geri. She was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church. She expressed her spirit in being part of her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren lives. Christmas was always a time of celebration and joy with family traditions. She took great pride in her garden, flowers and yard. Many enjoyable hours were spent on family genealogy, Norwegian rosemaling and traveling.
Geri is survived by her son Robert "Bob" Rowen; three granddaughters Candice Langkamp, Kelli and Kasi Rowen; three great grandchildren Danika, Daylynn and Deedra.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald, her parents, her sisters Viola Rowe, Wynona Jones, Twila Grindle, Marian Grindle and Arlene Lindeman, her brothers Nordean and Ivan Sittig, her daughter-in-law Diana Rowen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH in Dodgeville. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. on Thursday at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH. Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Upland Hills Hospice, the staff at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center and the doctors and nurses at Upland Hills Health for their care of Geri over the years.
