Gerry left us today,  Monday, April 8, 2024.  It is not a sad day but a day to celebrate her. Never the world traveler or any kind of traveler…Gerry appreciated the simple things in life… a morning cup of coffee, a rainy day, a good murder mystery, a joke… dirty or clean and her new found love of false eye lashes. She loved animals and was always ready to feed and take care of one in need. What she enjoyed most was her daughters and grandson. She was our # 1 fan in anything we did. Gerry greeted everyone with a smile and was always up for a conversation. What will be missed the most is her love of life. Everyday was a gift to her. Even when she was sick, she looked forward to the day.. and if it wasn’t a good one for her, seeing her family would always make it better. The day is a little brighter now with our mom being part of it… a chirp of a bird, the warmth of the sun and the sound of rain drops can remind us that she is not far from us but all around us She leaves behind her treasured daughters Tracey(Lisa) Kelley(Bob) Melissa(Mike), her adored grandson Duncan, the Sacco family - Gene(Deb) Pat, Rosemarie, Maryann, Christi(Tom), Ari and Paolo, sister Gloria (Bud) Baker, brother Gary(Norma) Jasinski. Loving Aunt to her California,Texas and Pittsburgh nieces and nephews. Join us to celebrate her and share stories that make us laugh. Gerry was not the kind of person to dwell on things… life goes on she would always say. In leiu of flowers, give a couple blooms to someone you love. She would always say flowers are to be enjoyed when you’re alive… how can you if you’re dead. Also use a little glitter, wear big sunglasses, false eyelashes listen to the rain. These are all things she loved. Family and friends welcome Sunday 10:00 am - 12:00 noon WILLIAM SLATER II  FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220 where a blessing service will be held Sunday at 12:00 noon.
