Gerry retired from the Town of Newfane as a clerk. She was a member of Newfane United Methodist Church, Appleton Hospital Auxiliary at ICMH and a past member of the Town of Newfane Recreation Committee and was instrumental in starting girls' softball in Newfane. Gerry enjoyed golfing, painting, crafts, puzzles, reading, and watching the Bills and Sabres.
Mother of Michelle (Robert) McDermott, Michael (Susan) Bowers, Darcy (Fred Stamm), Kelly Sweeney and Krista Sweeney. Sister of Murray (Kathryn) Long. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Family and friends may call at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 11am – 12pm where a Memorial service will be held at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Niagara Hospice, Miller Hose Co. or Newfane United Methodist Church.
