Geraldine A. Walters 83, of Raymond St., Milton passed away on September 10, 2025 at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg. Born in Lewisburg on October 30, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Nellie (Fenstermacher) Cotner. She was married to William A. Walters who preceded her in death in 2021.

Geraldine was a 1959 graduate of Warrior Run High School. She worked as a parent advocate for Children and Youth in Northumberland County, she also worked at Rea & Derrick in Milton, the Milton Shoe Factory and she sold Sarah Coventry jewelry. Geraldine was a member of Faith Chapel in White Deer. She was very Involved with the Milton Harvest Festival for many years. She enjoyed crafting and gardening,

She is survived by her children, Sue Rearick and her husband, Jeff of Milton, Robert Showers and his wife, Samantha of West Columbia, SC, April Coup of White Deer, and William Showers and his partner, Cathy Koser of Northumberland; two stepchildren, Lynn M. Walters of Milton, and Mark Walters of Kratzerville: four foster children, Brittany Konyar and her husband, Jimmy of New Columbia, Levi Yoder and his wife, Diane of Milton, Adam Fox and his wife, Mary Beth of Georgia, Jessica Thomas and her husband, Brian of Winfield and many other foster children: siblings, Eleanor Breasette, Willard Cotner, Francis Cotner, Nancy Cotner, and Barb Shearer: 10 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

Geraldine was also preceded in death by a brother, David Cotner; a granddaughter, Erin Willis; and a stepson, Kirk Walters.

Friends and relatives will be received from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, September 15 at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery.
