Gerard Bonneau Obituary

Gerard E. Bonneau, 83, of Marlborough, died May 3, 2008 at UMass Memorial, Marlborough Hospital. Born in Marlborough he was the son of the late Wilfred and Gladys ( French) Bonneau, and the former husband of the late Elaine ( Gasper) Bonneau Perron.

He had been employed by Gould National Battery, Marlborough and as an assembler for GM, Framingham, for over 30 yrs. before retiring in 1985. He was then employed by Fay School, Southborough, as a Custodian, retiring in 2004.

A member of the US Army, he was the recipient of three Purple Hearts and eligible for the Bronze Star for his service during WW II.

He was a longtime member and Deacon of the Northborough Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He is survived by his sons; Terrence E. Bonneau, of Buzzard’s Bay and Leslie K. Lackey, of Webster, his daughter; Dawn Diprofio, of Marlborough, his sisters; Dorothy DiBuono and Helen LeClaire, both of Marlborough, his grandchildren; Terrence Bonneau, Jr., David Bonneau, Jodi Diprofio, Marci Miranda, and Lisa, Carrie and Chuck Lackey, and 10 great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Robert, Ronald and Virginia Bonneau.

Funeral services will be held on Wed., May 7, at 10:00 in the Northborough Seventh Day Adventist Church, Brigham St., Northborough, MA.

Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough. Visiting hrs. will be held on Tue. May 6, from 3-7 in the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. Donations may be made to the Sterling Animal Shelter, 17 Lauren Wood Rd., Sterling, MA.
