Preceding him in death were his parents, Dora Elia and Longino Gonzalez Jr.; paternal grandparents, Rebecca and Longino Gonzalez Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Cleotilde and Telesforo Enriquez; aunt, Gloria Castillo; uncle, Federico "Lico" Enriquez;
Family members left to cherish his memory include his children, Gerardo Gonzalez of Cibolo, TX, and Beverly Ann Gloeckler and husband Joshua Gloeckler of San Antonio, Tx; granddaughters, Peyton Lola Gonzalez and Korie Love Gonzalez; siblings: Longino Gonzalez III and wife Olga Gonzalez of Uvalde, TX, Elizabeth Sosa and husband Leandro Sosa of Rosenberg, TX, Dora Duesterhoft and husband Otto Duesterhoft of Somerville, TX, David De Leon of Del Rio, Oswaldo De Leon of Del Rio, and Yana Jimenez of Laredo, TX; aunt, Elida and Jesse Guzman of San Antonio, TX; uncle, Reginaldo Castillo of Del Rio; Gerardo is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 12 noon at Rock of Salvation Church, located at 250 Hamilton Lane. Officiating will be Rev. Manuela Meza.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Trinity Mortuary, 206 Kings Way, Del Rio, TX (830) 775-2230. Tradition. Tribute. Trust.
