Gerardo Behori Sipi Botau, age 64, passed away December 3, 2024. The family is heartbroken to announce that their father is no longer with them but are heartened to say that he has found peace. Born in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa, Gerardo was a man of many talents. He was a musician, coach, teacher, scholar, and poet.
He was part of the band in church growing up and loved playing guitar and African drums. He coached many kids on the soccer field and taught generations of students Spanish. His love of higher education led him to earn a masters degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and his published book of poetry entitled "Suenos y Realidad" ('Dreams and Reality') showed his depth and understanding of life. Te mantendremos por siempre en nuestros corazones. Te queremos mucho.
Preceded in death by his sons, Ignacio and Amador Behori. He is survived by his son, Marco Behori; daughters, Madina and Diana Behori; brothers, Moises and Bernard Behori; sisters, Felicidad and Consuelo Behori, and 8 grandchildren.
