Gercie Doucet Daigle

Church Point, LA: Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 21, 2025 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Gercie D. Daigle, 89, the former Gercie Mae Doucet. Mrs. Daigle, a native and resident of Church Point, died Wednesday evening, November 19 at Acadia-St. Landry Nursing and Rehab in Church Point. Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until the time of the Services. A Rosary will be recited at 1:15 PM by Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of the Church. Interment will follow the Service in the St. Edmund Church Cemetery in Branch, LA.

Survivors include her sons, Pat and Joy Bourque Daigle of Church Point and Christopher Dean Daigle and wife Kathy of Little Rock, AR; her grandchildren, Amy Vige and husband Corey of Richard, LA, Kyle Daigle and wife Megan of Church Point and Michael James Daigle of Carencro, LA and her great-grandchildren, Libby Claire Vige and Thomas Joseph Daigle. She was preceded in death by Her parents, Henry and Amie Bergeron Doucet; her husband, Tilghman Daigle and a son, Michael Daigle.

A member of one of the first classes to graduate from Church Point High School; Mrs. Daigle was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America for a number of years and enjoyed researching genealogy. A loving wife, mother and grandmother; she was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Acadia-St. Landry Nursing and Rehab and Road Home Recovery Center and Guidry Funeral Home for the care and compassion extended to her and the family.
