Archie Vallier Sr
January 2 1960 - September 2, 2025
Church Point: On January 2, 1960, God gifted the world with Archie Vallier, Sr., the beloved son of Ewell (T.T.) Vallier and Aline Vallier.
On September 2, 2025, the Father in His divine wisdom called Archie home unexpectedly, leaving a void that can never be filled, but also leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and strength. Archie was truly a man of many names and many roles: Big A, Big Archie, Highway Punisher, The Rock, Greasy, and most importantly, a Mentor in the Village. He carried every name with pride, and each reflected the larger-than-life presence he had wherever he went. Whether you knew him as a father, Paw Paw, brother, uncle, or friend, you knew you had someone real and genuine in your corner. He was a proud 1979 graduate of Church Point High School, where he wore number 77 on the football field with strength and determination. His love for the sport followed him through life, matched only by his passion for cooking - especially when teamed up with his legendary Pick 3 crew. And of course, Sundays were reserved for his beloved New Orleans Saints - a fan through and through, no matter the score. Archie's proudest title was Dad.
He was a devoted father to Tiffany Vallier, Quentin (Stacie) Chachere, and the late Archie (Brittany) Vallier, Jr. He was also "Paw Paw Dougie" to his precious grandchildren: Trenton Vallier, Tristen Vallier, Laina Vallier, Daylon Angelle, Keegan Winbush, and Payden Winbush. His joy, his laughter, and his wisdom will live on in them forever. Archie will also be deeply missed by his loving siblings: Carolyn Boudreaux, Linda Harrison, Victoria (Murphy) Leopaul, Martha Vallier, Debra (Randy) Vallier, Kathy Vallier, and David (Bertha) Vallier. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and countless friends will cherish his memory always.
He now rejoins in peace his beloved son, Archie Vallier, Jr; his parents, Ewell and Aline Vallier; his brother, Morris Vallier; his sister, Joann Vallier Bellard and his niece, Katina Vallier.
Archie's spirit was big, bold, and unshakably loving. He lived life with his own style - equal parts strong, funny, wise, and caring. He will forever be remembered as someone who showed up for his people, gave back to his community, and left every room brighter than he found it. Though he has transitioned, Archie's story will never end - it lives on in every laugh shared, every memory told, and every person who was blessed to call him family or friend. "Big Arch" - we'll miss you dearly, but we'll carry your love and your lessons always.
