Loren Allen "Lonny" Vallier, passed away peacefully at the age of 61 on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the place he proudly called home, Leroy's Lodge in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, after a valiant fight against cancer.
Lonny is survived by his beloved brother, Steven M. Vallier of Hudson, NH and his partner, Sonya Arroyo, and his dog niece Sasha; his nephew and nieces, Joshua Vallier and his wife, Melissa, and great-nephew, Dane; and Savannah Vallier and her partner, Jamie Turbyne. Lonny is predeceased by his parents, Leo and Lois (Lalmond) Vallier. Lonny is also survived by his extended family, Jeff Rowe and the entire Rowe family of Dracut, MA; Susan Brown; and his large and loving second family at Leroy's Lodge.
Born September 21, 1963 in Nashua, New Hampshire, Lonny loved his cold brew creamy vanilla ice coffee prepared by Danielle at Dunkin' in Tewksbury every morning, the New England Patriots whether they were winning or losing, and the Grateful Dead. He attended hundreds of concerts across the country. One of the last Dead shows he was able to attend was at Fenway Park with Steve. An avid dirt bike rider since he was 10 years old, Lonny accomplished a bucket list item when he became the owner of his first Harley Davidson earlier this year. Lonny was the first to help and would give you the last smoke in his pack of cigarettes. He was proudest of 3 things. The first was his brother Steve, who Lonny could make laugh like no one else. Together they shared a weekly breakfast at Mary Ann's Diner in Derry with their waitress Sam, a ritual that is irreplaceable. The second was Lonny's career at Ace Landscaping, where Lonny would tell you Jeff Rowe was the best boss. Lonny was a dedicated employee for 17 years, working every snow and ice event in the winter, and tirelessly installing irrigation and landscaping all summer. Even when he could hardly walk and was unable to work, Lonny would still go to the shop to help direct the guys. The last day Lonny drove his Jeep, only one day after entering hospice care and a few days before he passed away, Lonny's last drive was to Jeff's shop. Jeff helped Lonny find the third thing Lonny was proudest of, his sobriety, and Leroy's Lodge in Tewksbury, MA, his home for many years. Here Lonny found his second family, and he was deeply touched by all of the love, care, and support he received from everyone at Leroy's during his struggles with cancer. Lonny was Truly one of a kind.
