Lafayette: Lamar "Putt " James Stiner was born on March 3, 1984 , To his parents the late Lovina & Cornell Bernard and biological father Rodney Frelix. Lamar was called home on Thursday August 21,2025.

Lamar was a Father ,brother , nephew, cousin and friend to many. Everyone knew Lamar as "Putt " . He was an athlete that ran track in high school and played softball. The love for softball was where "Putt" heart was. He traveled near and far to play the game. He was know for his speed , controlling every swing where he wanted that ball to land, and letting nothing pass him on short stop. The game brought some much joy to "Putt" He was definitely a beast on the field and well known to many. He created a family in the softball world and inspire many with his talent.

Lamar leaves to mourn, his two children son Jalon Lewis and daughter Jalani Lewis of Lafayette, la. His brothers Corderia ( Larriona ) Stiner, Cornell ( Morgan ) Benard of Lafayette, La.
