Germaine was married to Raymond for 63 years, until his passing in 2018. Their marriage reflected their shared values of love, commitment, hard work, and devotion to family and their Catholic faith. Together, Geri and Ray shared a lifetime of adventures. They spent summers at Chautauqua, traveled through Europe, and visited family and friends. Through it all, they cherished the simple contentment of being together.
More than anything, Germaine loved spending time with her family. She took great joy in family gatherings, celebrations, and the everyday moments that brought everyone together. She was a wonderful grandmother to her seven grandchildren and cherished singing and reading to them when they were young, sharing in their laughter, and taking them on many outings. Being with them filled her heart with joy and brought out the lighthearted, playful side that was such a special part of her.
Germaine was an avid theatergoer and found happiness in shopping, cooking, and knitting. A voracious reader, she instilled in her children and grandchildren a deep appreciation for books and the joy of losing oneself in a good story. She was known for her impeccable personal style and her eye for beauty. She loved to entertain, and her home reflected both elegance and comfort, creating a welcoming space filled with warmth and beauty.
Those who knew Germaine will remember her as a kind listener, a thoughtful advisor, and a source of steady comfort and support. Her open heart, wisdom, and compassion touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Funeral services will be held privately by her family with a private interment at All Saints Cemetery.
