Gerrit M. Austic Sr.

Gerrit M. Austic Sr., 64, of Red Hill passed away on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Diane (Watson) Austic. Born in Ithaca, NY, he was a son of the late Edward and Hildreth (Hurlburt) Austic. Gerrit worked at the Lowes in Quakertown in millwork for the last 17 years. He loved spending time with his family and playing Lottery scratch off. He also enjoyed his morning coffee with his pet bird "Fonzie".
Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Bridget J. DeHaven and her husband, Bryant of Macungie, and Samantha Austic of Quakertown; his sons, Gerrit M. Austic Jr. and his girlfriend, Melissa, of Pennsburg, and Brice A. Austic of Red Hill; his beloved grandchildren: Mercedes, Ashgin, Willow, Fallon, Shire, Nevea, Gerrit III, and Jaylynn; and his siblings: Dorthey Wright and her husband, Jon of North Carolina, Janet Casterline and her husband, Roger of Florida, and DuWayne Austic and his wife Linda of South Carolina. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
