Those who knew would say he was gentle, brave, joyful, humble, brilliant, simple, mindful, majestic, intelligent, impactful, kind, loving, and encouraging. He was his mother's first born and her big teddy bear and loved his mother's cooking, no matter what it was, but he did have some favorites. Gerry (mike) loved his 2 younger brother's Talis (T), & Nicholas (N), and he named Talis (T) because he couldn't pronounce his name, and it stuck that way. Gerry loved to encourage both of his brothers and tell them how proud of them he was.Gerry met the love of his life Maira Dejesus (YAYA) and decided to stay in Connecticut. Gerry battled health challenges but if you didn't know, you didn't know because he didn't complain about it.
Proceeding him in death is his father Gerry M. Gage Sr., Jean Ruffin (grandmother), Nealie Gage (grandmother), He leaves to mourn his memories, Robin Ruffin (mother), Talis Gage (brother) Ohio, Nicholas Ruffin (brother) Texas, Sharon Gage (sister in law) Ohio,Maira Dejesus Gage (wife), Jerameii Ramos (step son), Carol Ruffin (aunt) Ohio, Deborah Butts(aunt) Ohio, Nikie Gage (aunt),Jerry Adams (Uncle), Richard Gage (uncle) Ohio, Michael Prichett (best friend), Terri Gassaway(godmother) and a host of cousins and friends.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Woyasz & Son Funeral Home, 141 Central Avenue, Norwich.
