Gerry Gobrecht

Gerry R. "Herk" Gobrecht, 89, of Upperco, Maryland, peacefully passed away at his home on November 29, 2025. Born on July 4, 1936, he was the son of the late Gerald and Margaret (Worrell) Gobrecht. He was the devoted husband of Loretta Ann "Retzie" Gobrecht for 67 years and the beloved father of Lisa Gobrecht. Herk cherished his family above all else. He enjoyed a good round of golf, playing cards with friends, and sharing laughter with the people he loved. In 1969, he founded a trash removal business in Reisterstown, where he and Retzie worked side by side for 25 years. Travel was one of the great joys of their life together. They explored many beautiful countries, and traveled thoughout the United Sates. Herk was also proud of his service in the United States Army, during which he was stationed in Germany. He was a longtime member of the Bucs Club, The American Legion and the Elks Lodge where he had many good friends and memories. Services are private.
