I am so grateful that God sent me to be "On Mother's Stacks line". He sent me her way through a series of interesting "breadcrumbs". I came, I came, OH, I came first to an appreciation service at Shalom. I came to a few convocations, as well as the Daughter's of Zion meetings. I even met the Shalom Fellowship out of town a few times. I am so grateful for the ministry of Dr. Gertrude Stacks. A giant in the earth, a true General of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Oh god I´ve been crying since I got the news about mama Gertrude I´m going to really and very much truly miss her so much she instilled so much into me as a minister. She has to purest heart and a real love for people and sweet and kind gonna miss her talks and singing my song lord do something for me gonna miss that beautiful smile she would always give and her hugs you touched soooooo many lives and I just want to tell you thank you so much and I cherish you always and forever you have done your job and now god as gained an angel rest in power and peace angel

This was my favorite person to serve at motor city casino assembly line buffet, her and another lady would come sit for hours enjoying each other company! They´ll Always sit out of the spotlight and they both was always friendly, they would ask what section is my section because they knew I would give them the service they required. (she/They loved) when I´d go and get them the little small bottle of water and hot tea! My lord how I´ll miss those days. I´d never forget the day I found out that she was John whiterspoon sister; I really fell in love with her then! I had no idea after serving her for years. Sister Stacks heaven is waiting on you, rest on queen love the motor city staff.

I visited the family church in the early 80´s when both Drs. Jesse & Gertrude Stacks were there what an awesome duo... just a beautiful family and such a wonderful experience... they knew the lord and had such an anointing on their lives... if you went to Shalom you left with much wisdom! I know they´re both together know... RIHP Queen... one brilliant, amazing & a good looking couple who continue to shine!!! My condolences to this family... may God be with you all

I met Mo. Stacks once in 2017 and she was like the seasoned church Mothers of my COGIC childhood! She was also a powerful woman of God of whom I was blessed to have minister at the women´s conference I held that year. Mo. Stacks was from a time and place not well known today. Her ability to walk boldly in God´s power and to speak frankly what those said the Lord came from a confident relationship with the Father. She will be missed in the earth.
