Giacchino Piizzi

Giacchino Piizzi, born on August 7, 1948, in Newark, New Jersey entered into eternal rest on October 28, 2025 at the age of 77. He was a devoted and hardworking man, known for his quiet strength, warm heart, and enduring love for the game of golf.
Giacchino spent most of his life in the building trades, where he earned the respect of colleagues for his craftsmanship, dedication, and pride in his work. Even in retirement, he remained active, always taking on home improvement projects, never one to sit still for long. His hands built more than just structures; they built a life full of purpose and care.
Outside of work, Giacchino found joy and peace on the golf course. Whether playing a round with friends or watching tournaments, golf was a lifelong passion that brought him happiness and connection.
He is survived by his nephews Joseph Piizzi, Richard Savonarola Jr., and Dominic Savonarola; niece Jaclyn Patanella; sister-in-law Connie Piizzi; and brother-in-law Richard Savonarola Sr. Giacchino was a beloved member of his family, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Giacchino's body will rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery & Mausoleum in East Hanover, New Jersey, surrounded by his parents Joseph and Rosalie Piizzi, brother Dominick Piizzi, and sister Phyllis Savonarola-a final reunion with those he loved most.
Giacchino will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
