John Blunt Obituary

He was raised in Bloomfield, NJ and later married and lived in Fairview, NJ. He retired in Toms River and Lakewood, NJ. John was USMC veteran where he served in the Vietnam war and was awarded two medals of Honor for good conduct. Later, he became a police officer for the Fairview Police department serving for 25 years. He was a Member of the Honor Legion and PBA Local 45.
He loved listening to all kinds of music, social gatherings and spending time with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Albert Edward Blunt and wife Loretta. Wife of 60 years, Anna Marie Blunt and 2 Sisters and a Brother.
He is survived by two children, John L. Blunt and his wife Laura, Allison Bindell and her husband Richard. Also 3 grandchildren, John T. Blunt and his wife Melissa, Nicole L. Tarabocchia and her husband Connor, and Aaron S. Bindell. Two Great Grandchildren, Noah and Liam Blunt.
Graveside Service will be held Monday, November 3, 2025 at 11:15 Fairview Cemetery, 500 Fairview Avenue, Fairview, NJ 07022.
Lunch following at Patsy's Restaurant, 344 Bergen Boulevard, Fairview, NJ 07022.
