Thomas G. Hardhouse

Thomas, "Tom", George Hardhouse, 70, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate of 50 years, Jo Ann. Together they shared a beautiful life built on faith, love, and family, creating countless memories that will be treasured forever. He was a proud and devoted dad to his three daughters; Stephanie (Mike) Dahlgren, Danielle (Dan) Leone, and Ashley (Jon) Bogin, and the most loving Grandpa to his three grandsons, Alex and Zach Leone and Dylan Bogin, who were the absolute light of his life. He also leaves behind his dear niece, Darlene Sanchez, and her family.
Tom was a man of integrity who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He dedicated his life to his family, his work, and his friends, always leading with kindness and a steady hand. Before retiring in 2023, Tom was a Pipeline Foreman for William Saloy Inc. and Buck Welding. Throughout his long and successful career, he built lifelong friendships and earned the respect of everyone he worked alongside. His dedication and hard work were a true reflection of his character.
Tom was a man of many passions. He loved fishing, traveling, gardening, and taking great pride in keeping his lawn perfect. He was a devoted fan of the New York Giants, rarely missing a game. Above all, Tom cherished time spent with his family. One of his greatest joys of his retirement years was playing with his grandsons; cheering them on at their sporting events, and sharing countless moments of love and laughter.
Those who knew Tom will remember his heart of gold and the warmth of his spirit that drew people in. His presence filled every room and every life he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road in Toms River on Saturday, November 15th from 2pm to 4pm. The family invites everyone to honor Tom's memory by wearing something he would have loved. Dress in casual, colorful clothing or something inspired by some of his favorite things; fishing, sports, or the Caribbean.
