My mother, Eleanor Crow, remembered Gifford from the days he was an overalls-clad boy on the farm outside Julesburg. Her grandfather had purchased an adjacent plot and my mother's family visited regularly. We enjoyed many joyful visits with Gifford and Chris at our family home in Boulder and often ran into them at the opera. He will be greatly missed.
