Gilbert Daniel Warren of Lynchburg, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, July 28, 2025, at his residence in Lynchburg at the age of 84 years. A native of Flintville, Tennessee, he is the son of the late Horace Lee and Gracie Rebecca Johnson Warren. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Fredia Joyce Warren in 2008. He is also preceded in death by several siblings, Horace Lee Warren Jr., Dorothy Warren, Everage Walton Warren, Emmett Ray Warren, Ralph Warren, Roy Warren and Martha Kathy Warren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Lynchburg Funeral Home in Lynchburg, Tennessee with Pastor Ron Forrester officiating. Burial will follow at Lynchburg Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 Am until the time of service.
Gilbert was known best by those who knew and loved him as "Bert". He owned and operated Kight and Warren Exxon station in Lynchburg as well as working on his farm. He attended the 1st. Assembly of God and was a man who loved life and enjoyed his family. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, watching Westerns, helping his grandsons, Joey and Mike with projects they had going on. He loved adventures with his brother, Robert, and teaching Erica and his great great grandchildren how to garden.
His survivors include his daughters, Donna Baker of Lynchburg, Patricia Warren (Diane McCommon) of Mississippi, brother, Robert Joseph Warren of Tullahoma, Tennessee, grandchildren, Lori (Dewayne) Frazier of Lynchburg, Tennessee, Joseph (Chasity) Vaughan of Lynchburg, Tennessee, Mike (Tabatha) Vaughan of Lynchburg, Tennessee, 11 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren. Bert is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including one special niece and extended care giver, Kim Warren. Last and most certainly not least, he is also survived by his dog, Otis, whom he loved very much!
