Gilberto S. Mora, a beloved field contractor and devoted family man passed away peacefully at his home in Surprise, Arizona, on December 14, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on December 23, 1937, in Monterey, Mexico, Gilberto carried a piece of his homeland in his heart throughout his life, which he graciously shared with those around him.
Raised in Mexico, he later made Arizona his home, where he became known not only for his skilled work but also for his nurturing spirit. Gilberto dedicated himself to his craft, embodying the traits of diligence and integrity that defined a life well-lived. He was a man who applied himself wholeheartedly, and his commitment to excellence earned him the admiration and respect of peers and clients alike.
His passions extended beyond his profession; he possessed an undeniable green thumb, finding solace and joy in gardening. Those lucky enough to witness his beautiful gardens knew well that each flower and plant flourished under his care, serving as a testament to his nurturing spirit.
Gilberto’s legacy is perhaps most profoundly represented in the love he fostered within his family. He leaves behind three sons and three daughters, a proud lineage reflecting his unwavering devotion. His impact continues through the laughter and stories shared by his thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Together, they carry forward the warmth of his memory and the lessons he imparted throughout his life.
Although he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, two sons, and one daughter, Gilberto's presence will forever resonate in the hearts of those who cherished him. He faced his last days surrounded by his loving family, an expected departure marked by the bond and memories they shared.
The community is invited to honor Gilberto's memory as he is laid to rest. A visitation will be held on December 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, located at 522 E Western Ave in Avondale, Arizona.
