Funeral service for Gilda Faye Reeves, age 77 of Ballplay, will be at 2:00 PM Monday August 25, 2025, at Welcome Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Butler and Jerry Reeves officiating the services. Burial will follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home.

Mrs. Reeves passed away August 22, 2025 at Riverview Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Franklin and Sally Goble Reed, sisters, Brenda Jean Reed Reeves and Bonnie Sue Reed Haney, grandson, Riley Scott Faulkner.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles "Chick" Reeves, daughters, Cathy LeAnn Faulkner (David) and Aimee Danyel Noah (Albert Parker), son, Micah Gene Reeves (Missy), grandchildren, Erin Gardner, Matt Faulkner (Tara), Connor Faulkner, Addison Faulkner, Lauren Reeves, Kaylie Brooks (Logan), Lexi Reeves, Amanda Noah, Bethany Noah, great-grandchildren, Jameson Gardner and Henry Faulkner, sister, Peggy Ann Reed Green (Denis), brothers, Benjamin LeVaughn Reed Sr (Jan), Stanley Curtis Reed and James Mack Lipscomb (Linda), and a host of nieces and nephews.

Gilda was a member of Welcome Baptist Church. She was a 1966 graduate of Hokes Bluff High School. She really enjoyed crafting, cooking, reading, and working in her flower garden. She loved spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers will be Matt Faulkner, Connor Faulkner, Logan Brooks, Xander Jolley, Allen Venn, David Haney, Clifton Morton, and Korey Haney.
