Gina and I met at the Cancer Support Center in Homewood. She and I were diagnosed within weeks of each other. Gina was the most determined person I know. She would often walk to the center in all weather! She participated in crafts, art, jewelry-making, creating some very beautiful earrings and bracelets. She kept up with current events, and we often discussed local happenings as well as the personal health issues we faced. Nothing stopped her! I guess you could call Gina a force of nature! I enjoyed our visits together at CSC. My husband and I moved out of state 5 years ago, and sadly, we lost touch. I´m so sorry that cancer took her so very young. She could have enjoyed many more creative years. My thoughts and prayers are not enough, I know, for she will be missed by all of us who knew her gentle nature, her determination, her creativity and her positive outlook. RIP Gina, I shall remember you fondly!

I have always known Gina to be a woman of strong faith. When greeting me, she always asked about my wife who was going through her own battle with cancer. She went on to say she prayed for her every night.
