Samuel J. Falvo passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Tidewell Hospice House in Sarasota. He was born on August 26, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY. He was married to Greta Whist on June 24, 2016. He was the owner of Falvo Meats in Slingerlands, New York. He was a sergeant in the Army. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served his country with distinction.
He is survived by his wife, a sister, Josephine Riley and three children. Diane (David) Bowser, Jeff (Sheila) Falvo and Darlene (Rob) Malenich, Kirsten (Guido) Schjoren Amone. In addition, he had six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased in death by his parents and by his first wife Adele, who he married on September 23, 1952. Additionally, he was predeceased by his second wife, Maria who he married on June 23, 1979.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed boating, fishing, and preparing delicious Italian food. He loved to sing and appreciated beautiful instrumental music. He was a teacher at heart and was a wise businessman who cared about his customers and their families.
Family, friends, and others whose lives he touched are invited to a Service of Celebration at Angels Assisted Living on 5750 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, Florida at 10:30a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Angels Assisted Living who cared for him with kindness and love.
Farley Funeral Home located at 265 Nokomis Avenue S. Venice is handling the arrangements for the family
