Gina Maria Pearson 9/11/1977 - 8/31/2025 Rita and Jerry Pearson adopted Gina Maria Pearson from Bogota Colombia in 1979. She was one and a half years old. She was baptized at St Timothy's Church in Blaine. Gina gained a sister, Tricia, from Bogota in the year of 1982. The family moved to Shoreview by the time Gina started school at St. Odilia in Shoreview where she attended thru the eighth grade. During those years she was an acolyte in Church. She liked to serve mass with Fr. Rick McGuire of St Odilia because she was a bit taller than him and enjoyed that. She had a very fun loving personality especially during her younger years. She absolutely loved horses and knew how to handle them. She went to horse camp for three or four summers. She also rode horses in Red Wing with her cousins. She and a group of Colombian adopted kids formed a Club with activities along with Colombian dancing. She also danced Tap, Jazz, and Ballet within our community. Gina traveled with her Colombian group to Bogota with other parents and tour guides while she was a Junior in High School. She paid for the whole trip working at McDonalds. As an adult, she went to Rasmussen Business School and received an "Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice" Certificate. For the last six or seven years Gina has lived with her partner, Deb Racer and furry friends in Minneapolis in a little house. Her parents would meet with the two of them mostly for meals and they were definitely two of a kind, in a good way. There were lots of laughs. Even through some of Gina's life struggles she had a heart as big as gold especially for her Mom, Dad, Sister, family and friends. Gina dearly loved her son Collin and cared for him as much as she was able to do. At times, they had lots of "FUN" together. Gina died of a Ruptured Aneurysm on Sunday, August 31st at 9:25 pm at the age of almost 48. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM (visitation begins at 10:00AM) on Tuesday, September 9th at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 3495 Victoria Street North, Shoreview. Interment in the St. Odilia Prayer Garden followed by a light lunch. Gina is missed by many. May you, Gina, Rest in Peace with your beautiful son Collin!
