Ginger Gail Allen Mangum (1947-2023)
Ginger Gail Allen Mangum, 76, of Eastland, Texas passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on November 19, 2023.
Ginger was born in Abilene, Texas on August 5, 1947 to Wilmer and Mildred Allen. Ginger attended school in Albany, Texas from 1st-12th grade. Shortly after high school graduation, Ginger began her lifelong career in insurance at Charles Freyschlag Insurance. Later in her career, she spent many years with Farm Bureau in Eastland. Ginger gave birth to her only child on August 29, 1965 and from that moment on, Sheri was the center of her world and her greatest pride and joy. After her insurance career, her favorite hobby was following her grandchildren all over the state of Texas to watch them play sports.
Ginger was preceded in death by her father, W.W. Allen; mother, Mildred Allen; her older brother Will Allen; and her favorite brother-in-law, Bobby Parrott. She is survived by older sister, Joanna (Cissy) Parrott of Amarillo; daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and J.D. Foster of Waxahachie; granddaughter and husband, Jaci and Brennan Dingler of Godley; grandson and wife, Jett and Tayla Johnson of Eastland; great grandson, Judge Johnson; 3 nieces, 3 nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be at 10:00 a.m. on December 4, 2023, at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, Texas.
