Giuseppe La Monica

Mr. Giuseppe La Monica passed away on Monday morning, December 1, 2025 at Care One in East Brunswick. He was ninety-five years old.
Mr. La Monica was born in Siracusa, Sicily Italy. He was raised there and as a young man learned the trade of tailoring. He had his own shop there and worked as a tailor for a number of years before coming to the United States at the age of thirty-five.
He settled in New Brunswick and was employed briefly for the Bond Clothing Company. He then found employment with Johnson & Johnson E.S.D.P. He and his wife Maria raised their family in North Brunswick, and he retired after twenty-three years of service with the company.
Mr. La Monica enjoyed playing poker and canasta and was a devoted Juventus Soccer Club fan. He enjoyed the occasional trip to Las Vegas and Florida and going on camping trips with his family. Having been raised near the sea in Sicily, Mr. La Monica loved anything in or around the ocean, especially eating seafood.
He was predeceased by his wife, Maria, in 2017. He was also predeceased by his siblings Nicola, Armando, Gino, Amadeo and Benito La Monica and Francesca Nauta, Lucia Magliocco and Iolanda Mamo.
He is survived by his devoted sons, Maurizio La Monica and Mark La Monica and his wife Lisa and his brother Bruno LaMonica. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jake, Jack and Brooke. Visiting will be held from 9-11 AM on Saturday December 6, 2025, at the Gleason Funeral Home of North Brunswick. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM and committal services will follow at Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum in North Brunswick.
