Giuseppe Senatore, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and cherished member of the community passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025.
Born on February 21, 1947 in Salerno, Italy, Giuseppe carried with him the rich traditions and enduring spirit of his homeland throughout his life. His journey eventually brought him to the United States, where he built a life rooted in hard work, faith, and love for family.
Giuseppe dedicated years of service as a laborer and a custodian at McKenzie School. His commitment to his work reflected his deep sense of responsibility and pride in maintaining a welcoming environment for students and staff alike. Beyond his professional life, Giuseppe was known for his boundless energy and willingness to lend a hand-whether to fix things around the house or help others in need.
A man of deep faith, Giuseppe was a devout parishioner at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in East Rutherford. He attended Mass regularly on Saturdays and prayed the rosary daily. His spiritual devotion was a guiding force in his life and an inspiration to those around him. Giuseppe had a passion for craftsmanship and creativity. He found joy in woodworking and painting with oils-his artistic talents were evident in the pieces he created with care and imagination. These hobbies were more than past times; they were expressions of his character-patient, thoughtful, and full of life. He also found camaraderie and connection through Caffe Roma in East Rutherford and the Monte San Giacomo Club in Hoboken. These communities offered him lasting friendships and a shared celebration of heritage that he treasured deeply.
Giuseppe's greatest joy came from time spent with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Rosa, his son Antonio and wife Fatima, daughter Connie, and his adored grandchildren Donatella and Mauritzio. His love extended across generations, forming bonds that will endure beyond his passing. He is also remembered by his siblings Carmine, Annamaria, Lucia, and Lilliana.
Giuseppe now joins his siblings Nino, Nicola, Rachele, and Olga in eternal rest. He will be remembered for the warmth he brought into every room, the friendships he cultivated with ease, and the unwavering love he gave to those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
Family will receive friends Friday November 28th from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. Funeral Saturday gathering 8:30am at the funeral home for a 9:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, East Rutherford. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
