Gladys Lavell (Ray) Tyler Bledson was born September 1, 1939 in Appleton City, Missouri to the parents of Hattie (Arnold) and Louis Ray. She passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at the age of 84 years.
Ms. Bledson was a longtime resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She was a 1955 graduate of Saginaw High School, a retiree of Covenant Hospital after 40 years of loyal service and was a member of Corinthian Baptist Church. Gladys spent time cooking with family and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She loved beautiful flowers, doing yardwork and she took pride in her landscaping skills.
Ms. Bledson leaves to cherish one son, Keith Tyler of Lansing, MI; two daughters, Teresa Tyler of Saginaw, MI and Crystal Bledson of Toledo, OH; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many special friends including Cleresa Taylor, Saginaw, MI.
Ms. Gladys L. Tyler Bledson was preceded in death by her parents, Hattie and Louis Ray; a brother, Arnold Ray; sister, Georgia Sangster; special aunt, Tessie (Lyman) Parks; an uncle, Leonard Ray.
The family would like to express special thanks to Covenant Healthcare 6th floor nurses and nurses' aides, Teresa Tyler, Caressia Bledson and Taya Davis for their care of Gladys Bledson.
Family hour at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 8, 2024 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607, with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Willie R. Hill, Jr. will officiate. Visitation 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
