Revona Bledson, "Vona", of Madison, Wisconsin born November 2, 1984, passed away at the age of forty, surrounded by the love of her family. Revona grew up in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood. She graduated from Gale Elementary School and Sullivan High School. Revona spent several years in Columbus, Georgia, where she married and started her family. She owned a house and fully experienced her deep love for the earth. She found joy in growing her own food, raising chickens, and teaching those around her to value nature and the simple beauty of living close to it. In recent years she returned to the Midwest and learned the practice of phlebotomy on the job at University of Wisconsin Hospitals. Vona was known for her outgoing personality, her bold spirit, and the way she always spoke her mind. She had a deep connection to her ancestors. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother. She cherished her daughter Kaylee Christine Cameron, and her son, Kingston "Kingy" Jamal Cameron who were the center of her world. She loved them fiercely, and her memory will live on in their lives forever. Revona is also survived by her parents Arlena Lites-Burns and Michael A. Burns and her grandmother Leslie Burns. She was the middle child and the eldest daughter of six siblings: Devon Lites, Eric (Crystal House) Lites, Andrea Bledson, Tremaine (Nelroy Goodluck) Burns, and Christine (Clement) Koi-Amoah. She was the loving aunt of 21. Preceded in death by grandparents Jerlean and Frank Lites and Nathaniel Burns. She is also remembered with love by extended family and friends who will carry her spirit forward in their hearts. The family has chosen private cremation. Memorial gathering Saturday, September 20, 1-3pm, (service begins 1:30pm) at Graceland Cemetery Chapel, 4001 N. Clark St., Chicago, IL 60613. If you are taking public transportation, please note that the chapel is a 15-minute walk from the cemetery gate. Also, restrooms are located at the front entrance of the cemetery. The family takes comfort in knowing Revona's strength and love will continue to live on through her children, her family, and all who knew her. "Forever remembered for her bold spirit, her love of the earth, and her devotion to her children." Arrangements by Inclusive Funeral Care, 773-318-1305 or www.InclusiveFuneralCare.com.
