Obituary of Gladys LaVerne (Leach) Conahan-Geraci,
Age 102, of Wilmerding, PA, passed on October 20th, 2025, in the Southwestern Veterans Center. Gladys was born April 20th, 1923, in Wilkinsburg, PA to the late Carl Leach and Avon Evans-Leach.
Gladys graduated from Wilmerding High School in 1944, then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served during World War II. Following the war, she worked as a Key Punch Operator at the Westinghouse Air Brake. After becoming a mother, she spent the rest of her days as a home maker.
In her later years Gladys enjoyed the warm Florida air, while also dancing, coloring, bowling, and golfing.
Gladys was preceded in death by husbands Albert M. Conahan and Michael Geraci; her sister Grace (John) Hauth; her brother Richard (Jackie) Leach; and her beloved daughter Marian Conahan.
Gladys is survived by two daughters; Doris (Dwight) Neuhausel, and Grace (Robert Sr.) Lesher.
Dear grandmother of Robert (Courtney) Lesher Jr., Craig (Susan) Wilkins, Drew (Debra) Lesher, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren who knew Gladys as "GiGi".
We would like to thank the numerous healthcare workers and employees of Harmar Village, VA Hospital, and Southwestern Veterans' Center who knew Gladys as "Glady". Additionally, thank you to Katie at Gentiva Hospice and Jen Brubaker for your exceptional care and kindness.
Per Gladys' wishes, there will not be a visitation. She will be laid to rest with Military Honors in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
