In Loving Memory of Michelle "Pooh" Yakel
Michelle "Pooh" Yakel, of Turtle Creek, age 68, beloved sister, aunt, godmother, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Pooh was a light in every room she entered-full of warmth, wit, and a love that ran deep.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Elizabeth and Joseph Yakel, whom she loved dearly and now rests with in eternal peace.
Michelle is survived by her devoted siblings, Joanne (Tony) Stefano, Joseph Yakel, and Susie McTeir. She was a loving aunt to Joey (Jen) Yakel, Amanda Toper, Jeremy (Kendra) Yakel, Cody Yakel, Stephanie (Shawn) Bostard, Cheyenne (Bobby) Naglich, and Steve (Angelica) Stefano.
Pooh was surrounded by and deeply cherished by her many great-nieces and great-nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She showed up to their lives with pride, joy, and unconditional love.
Pooh was a former employee of Monroeville Answering Service and also CVS in Turtle Creek where she was well-known and appreciated.
A die-hard Harry Potter fan, Pooh believed in magic, imagination, and the power of a good story. She was rarely seen without a cup of coffee, a Coke, or a book in hand. Her presence was comforting, her laughter unforgettable, and her love unwavering.
Michelle "Pooh" Yakel will be remembered for her generosity, her sass, her humor, and her ability to make everyone feel at home. She was not just part of our family-she was the heart of it.
"The ones that love us never really leave us."
- Sirius Black
