Gladys Christine Hawley

Gladys Christine (Henderson) Hawley, 96, of Magnolia, AR passed away November 5, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Christine was one of eight girls born on August 9, 1929, in Stephens, AR to the late Thomas Jefferson and Gladys Eva (Powell) Henderson. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Christine was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was also a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed cooking meals for her family and was a caregiver to many in her community.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Grover Cleveland Hawley; sisters, Ola Mason, Irene Holt, Juanita Henderson, and Hazel King. Christine is survived by her daughter, Eva Childress and husband Dan of Jackson, TN; son, Greg Hawley and wife Natalie of Magnolia; grandchildren, Jeffery Thornton and wife Linda of Willisville and Greg Hawley, Jr. and wife Andrea of Magnolia; great grandchildren, Chris Thornton of Magnolia, Shelby Thornton and Codie White of Emerson, and Hannah Thornton of College Station, TX; great-great grandchildren, Allison, Baylee, and Landon Thornton of Palestine, TX, Brooklynn Thornton of Elkhart, TX, and Walker White of Emerson; sisters, Tommie Shelts, Naioma Garrett, and Charlene Fowler of Magnolia; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia, AR with Bro. Rick Shackelford and Bro. Mike Launius officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Charles Covington, Donald Covington, Billy Pipkin, Jonathan Armour, Jared Shurtleff, and J.R. Phillips.
